Die Braunschweiger Mailbox (BMB) wurde Anfang der 90er Jahre als FIDO Mailbox gegründet. Leider mußte der Betrieb auf Grund mangelnder Nachfrage im Vergleich zu Aufwand und Kosten im Jahr 2000 eingestellt werden. Aber wir, die verbliebenen Points sind inzwischen gute Freunde geworden und halten weiter Kontakt. Wir treffen uns weiterhin einmal im Monat - aus nostalgischen Gründen immer noch Pointtreffen genannt. Gelegentlich tragen wir alle unsere Rechner in einer Wohnung zusammen und machen unsere eigene LAN-Party für ein Wochenende. Wir spielen nicht nur U***** sondern auch Half-Life/Counterstrike, Age of Empires, VGA Planets (!) und alles, was sonst noch Spaß macht.


The Braunschweig (Brunswick) Mailbox (BMB) was founded early in the 90th as a Fido mailbox. Unfortunately it had to close in 2000 because of too high costs and work and a declining number of points. But we, the points who stayed until the end, are now good friends and keep in contact. We still meet once a month - and still call it a point meeting. Once in a while we all gather up with our computers and make our own LAN-party and play for hours and hours. We're not only playing U***** T********* but Half-Life/Counterstrike, Age of Empires, VGA Planets (!) and anything else that is fun to play.
